Transforming a T5
It’s all been very awards-focused on our channels for the past few weeks, but that doesn’t mean we’re not still working as usual! Here’s another conversion that’s a little different for you, as it’s a VW T5 Transporter. We’re always happy to work on any van our customers bring us (but our favourites are the Japanese vans)!
Let’s start with the basics.
These customers asked for a full-side conversion, in a classic Hacienda White with Winchester Oak worktops. The units are fitted with a fridge (and ice box), as well as discreet two-burner gas hob and sink. We also fitted an elevating roof with bed boards, a passenger swivel seat, 15L underslung gas tank and a 180W solar panel. And the look was completed with Altro flooring in Whale.
Custom finishes in every corner.
We went that little extra mile for these customers. We helped them to design bespoke two-tone grey upholstery for every seat, with embroidered VW logos to the front headrests. And the rock and roll bed was on runners, so they can create more space by moving the seats backwards and forwards as needed.
We brought the party with embedded ribbon lights in the ceiling. These LED, multi-coloured ribbon lights were remote controlled, but also had an amazing dynamic audio system (so when you play your favourite tunes, the lights change with the beat)!
We also fitted custom centre-cab curtains. So, these campervan owners didn’t need to buy and fit thermal blinds to the front windows. All of the other windows had blackout curtains, too.
A personal touch.
And for this wonderful couple, Warren asked us to throw in a little surprise for his wife. He’d organised a custom decal with the name of a beloved pet. Of course, our team were only too happy to help. We hope you both love it, and your new campervan!
