Celebrating a new “first”
You may know that Nissan Elgrand and Toyota Alphard are our two most-popular makes and models for campervan conversions. We’ve offered these as our staple vehicle options since day one. So, we’ve done what feels like hundreds of campervans for our wonderful customers over the years. But, there’s always room for improvement, and we’re always happy to take on any challenge our customers can throw at us.
So, this Toyota Alphard conversion was another “first” for us. And, that’s because it features our first-ever flushing toilet! The toilet is electric, so the flush is fully powered, meaning these customers won’t have to contend with chemical toilets or toilet blocks, which are both fantastic options for your camping experience. But that’s not all, as we built a custom casing to hide the toilet away when not in use. And we also fitted a curtain rail for privacy when the toilet is in use.
The toilet was built in next to the kitchen units, which again was a bespoke design to accommodate the addition of the toilet. These customers chose full-side kitchen units, in Light Grey Gloss with White Sparkle worktops. We also included a double induction hob, 12V fridge, and a sink with an electric-pump tap and fresh water cannister. This neutral finish paired nicely with the Blanched Oak flooring.
And if that wasn’t enough, we also included lots of other fabulous features. There is a rock and roll bed with two-tone upholstery, as well as an elevating roof with bed boards for even more space. For power, there was a touch-screen power management unit, three 240V sockets, dual USB ports, underslung gas and a 200W solar panel with smart controller. To keep things cosy, we also included a 3kW gas heater.
And finally, outside, these customers opted for a Movelite T4E driveaway awning and awning C-rail.
